Detectives in Suna West Sub-county, Migori County, are pursuing a woman who is on the run after stabbing her brother-in-law to death on Christmas eve.
The middle-aged woman by the name Eunice Adhiambo stabbed the deceased with a kitchen knife after he allegedly spanked her.
Area chief Yogo Tumbo confirmed the incident, citing that the deceased was at Adhiambo’s home when the incident occurred.
According to Adhiambo’s neighbors, the deceased inappropriately handled his unwilling sister-in-law, sparking the conflict that turned tragic.
The aggrieved Adhiambo reportedly rose from where she was grinding cassava, viciously stabbing the deceased on the chest with a kitchen knife.
Neighbors rushed to the scene, but it was too late as the deceased died on the spot.
His remains were moved to the Migori level four hospital mortuary pending investigations.
