Boda Boda operators in Migori town took it upon themselves to arrest a 40-year-old man accused of defiling his 15-year-old daughter.
The Boda Boda operators frog-marched the suspect from Dip area to Migori Police Station.
Samuel Odhiambo Ogur had a rough time as the angry crowds beat him angrily.
The incident was spurred by his wife’s confessions about how he severally defiled the minor while she was away from home.
Chanting and roughing Oguru, the growing crowd marched Samuel to Migori Police Station.
“I did it only once and was overcome by the devil,” said Ogur remorsefully.
One Mr. Moses Onditi is said to have convinced the angry mob to spare Samuel’s life and instead hand him over to the authorities.
Mr. Onditi who is the area bodaboda chairperson had a hard time rescuing Ogur from the public who were baying for his blood.
Police at the Migori Police Station have launched investigations into the incident.
But just what is happening in Migori?
In April this year, Police in the same County arrested a man accused of defiling his 13-year-old daughter at Sagegi in Suna East.
Investigations that involved hospital tests confirmed that the Class Six pupil was indeed defiled by the suspect identified as Johannes Ouru.
In another related incident, a police officer in Migori County allegedly defiled his 12-year-old daughter on November 1, 2019 when the girl visited him to collect school fees.
The police officer is said to have attacked and defiled his daughter, who lives with her paternal grandmother, as she washing dishes during the short visit.
